Are there any documented cases of authentic hauntings?

I always hear about these people saying that their house is haunted, but there are alot of good story tellers out there and people who want to make a buck so are there any hauntings that are proven to be authenticAre there any documented cases of authentic hauntings?
There are no authentic hauntings.The Amityville story was exposed as a hoax long ago.Only the most dishonest of the ghost haunting crowd continue to push it.You can find all kinds of ';true';ghost stories.Check them out with an open mind and they fall apart.Are there any documented cases of authentic hauntings?
There are certainly documented cases, but ';documented'; means little more than the writer of the document felt it was true. That's not something you really want to bank on. But authentic, that's a more concrete term. Is there evidence which supports the conclusion that a reported haunting is authentic, i.e., it is caused by a spirit? Not that I'm aware of. The thing about hauntings is that while you can say that a certain haunting lacks an explanation, it's a big logical leap to attribute that to spirit activity. ';Unexplained'; is not the same as ';paranormal';. It just means that whoever investigated it didn't find a natural explanation, perhaps because they didn't look in the right places, didn't consider all the possibilities, etc.
Quite a few are proven to be authentic, but it's the skeptics who look for the proof or try to prove it or disprove it for themselves are the ones who will never believe.


Those who experience it get frustrated, because they CAN'T prove it happened to them, and many think that they CAN disprove it, even if it happened.


Just because it can't be proven to one person doesn't mean it's disproved.

Some places seem to have more activity than others, but two people can be side-by-side at a location and not experience the same event. It's hard to nail something as intangible as a ghost down! Once you've had a ghostly encounter, you'll never forget it, even if you can't repeat it. Don't look for ghosts, they'll find you! Best wishes.
watch Ghost Hunters on the sci-fi channel..they are def the real thing and have caught some rather spooky evidence on video and EVP's (electronic voice phenomenon)


the other shows like this on tv are questionable but not Ghost Hunters (aka Taps) !! Check it out ..they will make you a believer for sure!
I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?

Amitiville horror is factual. So true that the people in the book wanted their names left out due to the ridicule from the media they would have received. That book scared me so much.





I used to live in a haunted house. There were always crows in my backyard tree and whenever any of us were in the tub or anything tiles would fly (not fall) off of the walls and hit the floor. Things would fly off the shelves as in fly about 5 feet and hit the ground. We were all so happy to get away from that house. I don't know if it was actually haunted but whatever was in that house. It scared the **** out of me and my family.
