What cases can i miss in dead rising?

i need to be able to miss some cases to get an ending but everyy time i miss one it just says ';the truth has vanished into darknees'; or something like that. what cases can i miss and what cases can i not?What cases can i miss in dead rising?
Hi Scott it's okay when i first played it i had the same issue as well.What you have to do is look the main menu or whatever it is and check out the cases the main cases usually are numbered like 2-1 3-1 you will know what is the next case by looking at the details of the case.If Otis calls and says check out this location where someone his hiding etc that is not the main storyline just a side case you can take if you wish to do it.I know it sounds frustrating but the game is on a time limit and you need to get to the locations fast.I recommend memorizing the layout of the land and stocking up on skateboards,books and the small chainsaws(Adam leaves them behind when you kill him)Adam is that crazy clown guy.You dont need to do his side mission but i would recommend it highly JUST SAVE BEFORE FIGHTING HIM! like in the bathroom or the safe room on the couch.Anyway after you complete one of the main missions it says something like case 1-3 completed and shows you the next case right away so i dont understand how you had trouble figuring out which case but anyway just try looking at the main menu during the game..you know where you pause it to look at Franks status and notes.Another way is to look at his wrist watch for the missions but he is helpless and can be attacked during this.Just go to the main menu check out the missions and they will give you details on what to do next.If you really want to just avoid all the extra missions but i dont think you should avoid all of them because if you are not at level 50....which i am assuming...you wont level up fast enough while fighting pyschopaths(the bosses) Save it after every case completed like i did...rest on the couch or use the map to find a nearby bathroom stall and go up to the door and use the toliet(it doesnt show you take a dump but you get the idea lmao) and save the game on the one save slot and dont let anyone else use it.Pay attention to the details of the main missons on the menu where Franks stats are and you should have no problem if you still do email me if you want and dont forget to vote me best answer please ^_^ thank you...here is a link to help you find stuff around the mall and write down your fav stuff so you can use the map on the game to find it.
