Revision activity. Would appreciate helpCompare and contrast the poems Disabled and Mental Cases by Wilfred Owen?
okay im not going to do it for you but look at form of the poem, then look at imagery, then look at the precedents of the poem (what type are they, what traditions is he alluding to ). I think the main thing is to find similarities and differences in th imagery - body, grotesque, disease, sound, darkness are some areas of imagery. Also compare the tone - is one bleaker than the other? more ironic?
